Mission, Vision, and Values

Our Mission

The mission of Montessori Christian Academy is to provide the highest quality Montessori education possible, integrating the Christian faith, grounding children in Biblical truth, developing the child’s intellect and character to their highest potential, thereby equipping students for lives of service and leadership to the glory of Christ Jesus.

Vision

The vision of Montessori Christian Academy is to guide the education of children through the Montessori method, instilling in children an intrinsic love of learning, while encouraging them in their faith towards Christ.

We strive to be a support and encouragement to parents, forming a school community that supports and assists families as they strive to raise their children according to Godly principles.

Our hope is to reflect the kingdom of God in our student population and endeavors of community service.

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the bible to be the verbally inspired and only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, John 10:30, John 10:37-38)

  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35, Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:25, John 2:11, Hebrews 9:12, Colossians 1:14, John 11:25, Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16)

  4. We believe that Jesus paid the penalty for our sin with His death on Calvary, that all who believe in Him inherit eternal life, and that this salvation is freely given by the grace of God, not according to any merit of our own. (John 3:16-19, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23)

  5. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28)

MCA Philosophy

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he shall not depart from it.” -Proverbs 22:6

This scripture not only applies to our spiritual life, but also to our physical, emotional, and mental life.

At our school, educators see the child as God’s foremost creation, endowed with a rational mind, an impressionable personality, and an immortal soul. The MCA programs view Christian education as an aid to life. Its purpose goes beyond the acquisition of basic skills and knowledge.

While students are encouraged to become independent thinkers, competent readers, clear writers, and problem solvers through the Montessori method, our greatest emphasis is on their spiritual, moral, social, and character development through daily interactions with the Montessori prepared environment and daily Bible devotions and prayer.

At MCA, we believe that parents are and must be the child’s first teachers. Our goal as a school is to support, equip, and encourage families in their parenting and spiritual growth by utilizing the Montessori method combined with Biblical truth.

While all children and families are welcome at MCA, we as a school do not deviate from the Gospel messages found in the Bible.
